Join us for an energizing weekend of yoga asana practice, meditation, some upside-down play, and meaningful conversation in a peaceful forest setting.
 
Yoga is a powerful way to get to know ourselves and to forge connections with others. Through our practice of asana and meditation, we stretch and expand beyond our usual boundaries and limitations. We access emotions, open ourselves up to being vulnerable, and bring forth our natural ability to connect with others. So join us for a weekend of sweating and breathing, talking and being in silence, hopefully some laughter and maybe a few tears.
 
This is a retreat for you, the participants. As retreat leaders, we will be available to you throughout the weekend – whether you want to explore forearm alignment in pincha mayurasana or talk about the challenges of life and love.
 
All levels of yoga (and conversation!) are welcome, and of course all sessions are voluntary.

Anja teaches vinyasa and yin yoga in Stockholm. Her passion for all aspects of yoga – physical, philosophical and psychological – is rooted in a deep longing to make sense of life and the human mind. She is a mother of boys, a lawyer trying to do good in the world, a passionate minimalist, and a dedicated student of yogic and existential philosophy. She also learned how to do a straddle-press handstand at the age of 38, and really enjoys sharing her love of inversions with others.

Oren is a certified coach focusing on personal wellbeing – a line of work that allows him to help others find purpose and balance. He is an experienced group facilitator who has helped entrepreneurs talk about self-doubt, forged coalitions of Afghan politicians, and led students on self-discovery trips in the Costa Rican jungle. His current pursuits include inventing kid-friendly vegan recipes and taking his handstand off-the-wall.

Located just two hours away from Stockholm in Skinnskatteberg, Sweden, the area is easily accessible by air, train and car, making a great option for a short break wildlife destination.

  • Coming by air: The nearest airport to Shambala is Stockholm Vasteras. The second nearest airport is Arlanda airport, the main airport in Sweden. You can easily take a train all the way to Skinnskatteberg from both of them.
  • Coming by train / bus: We are fortunate to have a train / bus station at Skinnskatteberg only 5 minutes ride from the center. We offer free pick up services from this station in summer.
