We are truly fortunate to be able to announce that Radhaji will come to Shambala this summer to teach from the depths of the Vedic, yogic tradition.
If you have ever felt that you want to dive in to the higher teachings behind yoga, the eternal knowledge of who we are in essence, this one is for you.
Radhaji is a senior student of Swami Dayananda Saraswati and has been teaching Advaita Vedanta since her return from India in the 1970 s. She currently teaches in Berkeley, California and is a faculty member at the California Institute of Integral Studies for the East-West Psychology Department. She is a Jungian-oriented clinical psychologist and has a private practice in Berkeley, California.
The way in which she unfolds this timeless self-knowledge is exquisite. Easy to understand without compromising with the tradition and you can feel when you sit in her presence that she taps into a vast ocean of clarity and wisdom that really conveys to you the core of what all yoga really is about.
To balance the strong teaching classes she also invites us into profound guided meditations where your inner child gets to relax and feel nourished.
Her life-long experience in the field of Jungian psychology is a true blessing that grounds the teachings and makes them possible to integrate in a whole new way.
The days will start with yoga practise and after a delicious breakfast we will have meditation followed by a vedanta class. This course we will be unfolding Bhagavad Gita chapter 6. After lunch there will be some free time for forest walks and integration and at 17 we will have our second class. After dinner we gather for satsang (questions and answers) where anything that is in your heart can be brought forth for loving clarification.
This a unique opportunity for any true seeker to take an authentic next step on the path.

MORE INFORMATION
WHAT IS VEDANTA
Vedanta is the end portion of the Vedas that teaches Brahma Vidya, the knowledge of the limitless being, which is, according to the Upanishads, the Self.
Vedanta reveals that the nature of I is free from any limitation, it is one, non-dual being. The general understanding of the I is ‘I am limited’ time-wise, space-wise and knowledge-wise. It is because of this conclusion that I am struggling to become happy. This is what is referred to as ‘Samsara’.
In order to get out of that endless cycle of birth and death, I need to know my essential nature as free from death, free from change, free from any limitation whatsoever. Vedanta says:
You are the whole, you are full and complete as you are.
You are everything you want to be already.
You are the gold in and through all the ornaments.
All you need, is to know yourself, to remove the darkness of ignorance, to know yourself as such.
That is Freedom, that is Moksha. That is what ultimately every being is searching for in life, freedom from pain and suffering, freedom from the sense of smallness and inadequacy.
We all want to be happy, at all times and in all places. We cannot find that in the world, the world is changing, that is the wonder of this creation, of this life. Therefore I have to look somewhere else. Somewhere I have not yet thought of so far, somewhere closer than the closest. Myself. That is Vedanta.
