Kevin James and Susana have set the space for you and a small group of like minds, to take that chance together, to step off the old treadmill and explore what calls you from within.
The music is the vehicle that allows us to effectively and ease-fully open the door to a new life, a new direction, and a new appreciation for what we already have. Move your body with yoga, walks, swims, dance, and shake off the old to embrace the new with this transformative gathering.

The thing we’d like to share about this gathering is that it’s really about creating a feeling of coming home to the heart and being part of a community. The program leaves a lot of space to relax and all activities are optional if you need time to swim or take a walk and just unwind in the beautiful natural surroundings.

KEVIN JAMES & SUSANA
Kevin James is an Australian singer-songwriter who brings Devotional music to the World in a way that is free from religious dogma.
His particular music style is characterized by fusing English lyrics with potent Mantras from around the world. As a singer-songwriter, he also has created what he calls ¨Heartsongs¨: songs in English that transmit the depths of Eastern philosophy, delivered in a way that is joyful and accessible to all.
What started as singing gatherings with friends in the 90’s, slowly grew into a way of living.
Since 2010 Kevin James started to travel the world continuously and sharing his music in the form of “Chanting Circles”, a powerful group experience of reconnection to Oneself.
Nowadays, he continues the same path with his wife Susana (playing harmonium) holding Events and Retreats, in their vision of Connection to the Heart as a way towards living a more harmonious life.

We welcome you wholeheartedly to our place. Shambala consists of seven buildings in nature within which you can find two yoga salas, ten twin bedrooms, four triple bedrooms, one four-bed dormitory, three separate huts, a floating sauna and a lake!

The kitchen is the heart of Shambala. We just love to make delicious vegetarian and vegan food for you. We not only use the best possible ingredients, but we also take care of food combinations to ensure that you are in top energetic shape all throughout the retreat.

Shambala is a joint effort. From the residential community and core staff, to the volunteers, to the teachers and guests that visit us every year. Since the beginning, our central focus has been to create a place where people can live together in harmony.

Located just two hours away from Stockholm in Skinnskatteberg, Sweden, the area is easily accessible by air, train and car, making a great option for a short break wildlife destination.
- Coming by air: The nearest airport to Shambala is Stockholm Vasteras. The second nearest airport is Arlanda airport, the main airport in Sweden. You can easily take a train all the way to Skinnskatteberg from both of them.
- Coming by train / bus: We are fortunate to have a train / bus station at Skinnskatteberg only 5 minutes ride from the center. We offer free pick up services from this station in summer.
