WELCOME
Welcome to a nourishing summer holiday.
Four nights of deep rest and restoration amidst nature, healing food, floating sauna and a supportive environment for you to take a deep breath from your daily life.
Are you longing to connect to yourself from a place of rest and safety?
This is a chance to just be and receive the nourishment of healing practices that will support you to find balance and let go of tension and stress held in your body and mind, at the same time as spending your vacation doing something nourishing to yourself.
Join us in slowing down, come back to your body and learn to rest deeply. Spend four whole days devoted to your wellbeing, where you can listen to your body’s needs and become aware of how you can find more rest in your life.
It is a gift to learn to slow down and it is a disciplined practice to rest. Soothing and slow movements, breath practices, body awareness and nature are all powerful tools that supports your journey in finding deeper rest in your self and therefore more stability and energy in your life.
We will open our retreat with a yogic puja (Vedic ceremony) to set our intentions and let go of our stress and enter into a healing space.
We will be practicing gentle and restorative yoga and meditation, as well as learning to relax deeper layers of our bodies through the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra (also known as yogic sleep). We will also be opening our voices to chant gentle mantras that induce the body and mind into a state of inner stillness and calm.
The retreat will be held amidst the gorgeous forest of Bergslagen, where we will be taking walking meditations and enjoying the practice of Shin-Rin Yoku (or forest bathing). We will be enjoying daily sauna sessions at the wood floating sauna and taking dips in the lake.
There will be an opportunity for you to take a craniosacral treatment by Johan Svanborg. A non-invasive and deeply healing technique that balances our body mind from within.
All activities are optional.
We wish for this retreat to nourish deeply and bring you back home feeling renewed and refreshed!

“This is where the magic happens – together, with open hearts in beautiful nature.”
* Yoga
Nordic Light Yoga is based on traditional yoga, combined with craniosacral therapy. The healing aspect of our classes happens through moments of rest and receiving craniosacral touch. The foundation of our yoga is to be soft and mindful as you move your body, allowing you to be more present to what is happening inside.
Restorative yoga is a relaxing style intended to be healing and nurturing for the body. As it relieves stress, it allows the body to restore and find its own balance. Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching.
* Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness.
* Vedic Meditation
Vedic meditation is an ancient practice that allows one’s awareness to enter into a deep station of relaxation and introspection. We arrive at this state of deep inner peace through the practice of observing our breath and relaxing our body. In a state of calmness, clarity arises and we make peace with disowned parts of ourselves that bring stress to the mind. As we dis-entangle our inner tensions, our true nature is lovingly revealed as a deep sense of grounded presence. In the deep absorption of this presence, we find rest.
* Puja
Puja is a devotional practice and temple ritual designed to connect to the heart.
In this ceremony, we make offerings of flowers, fruit, water and chants to different yogic deities that serve as symbols for different aspects of ourselves. For this retreat, we will open our healing space with a puja, which will give us an opportunity to leave our stress and worries behind, and enter the healing space of the heart.
* Forest Bathing
Forest bathing is the practice of immersing yourself in nature in a mindful way, using your senses to derive a whole range of benefits for your physical, mental, emotional and social health. It is also known as Shinrin-yoku. ‘Shinrin’ means forest and ‘Yoku’ stands for bathing. It is proven to be a very effective tool to overcome the ill effects of a hectic life and stressful work environment.
* Craniosacral Treatment
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch, this deeply relaxing treatment guides you into a profoundly healing state, where your body and mind are allowed to unwind and clear long held tensions.
-1 hour session costs 750kr.
