Shambala mid-winter is a little piece of magic. Sometimes tucked in a blanket of white snow. Peaceful and quiet. You can snuggle yourself in with a blanket and a book, warm up in the floating sauna and even ice-bathe if you feel up for it!
Everything is taken care of for you, three yummy Vegan meals, a hot cup of tea is always available and you will have plenty of sweet, loving company.
What we loved about last years retreat was chanting sacred mantras by the bonfire while the snow was drizzling down around us, the delicious gourmet festive Vegan buffet on new year’s eve, together with a powerful ceremony to set auspicious intentions, felt like such a meaningful way of welcoming the new year. With delightfully nourishing yoga classes, combined with subtle, yet potent Nordic Light healing touch classes, we all felt so energized and inspired to start a new year.
This year we will dive deeper into the nourishing yoga practice that creates a reset for the coming year, we will use art expression as a mirror to find a vision and we will be guided into embodied presence through dance.

MORE INFORMATION
THE YOGA
Nordic Light Yoga is oriented towards slow and deep movements, which allows your body and mind to relax, thereby releasing deep inner tension. The healing aspect of our classes happens through moments of rest and receiving craniosacral touch. The foundation of our yoga is to be soft and mindful as you move your body, allowing you to be more present to what is happening inside and coming to know yourself and your inner processes deeper.
We have experienced that this kind of mindful yoga practice can be deeply healing and a beautiful tool towards becoming more aware of yourself and patterns that create stress and tension in your daily life. With the ability to practice strength with a caring and gentle attitude, one can handle challenges with more ease.
In our classes we do not make physical adjustments. Unlike most yoga adjustments, which are often directive or corrective, craniosacral adjustments are not there to impose or correct, but to allow the body itself to discover its own unique posture, as all bodies are different.
EXPRESSION
Vedic art is a way to explore your inner world of visions, longings and emotions on a canvas. You don’t have to have any previous experience of painting. On the contrary, the less ideas about how to paint the better. You will be gently guided into expressing whatever wants to flow from your heart onto the canvas.

Jenny
Jenny’s spiritual journey started eight years ago in India, when she met her Yoga teacher. This was the start of a life long study of the inquiry into her real being. A few years ago, she met her Guru in Bali, whom she started studying traditional Vedanta with.
She is passionately dedicated to understanding the meaning of true happiness, and what it means to live a spiritual life. In her teaching, she assists with softness and compassion, allowing the uniqueness of every person and their process to take place. She did her first Hatha Yoga TTC in India with Atmavikasa Yoga eight years ago and has been going frequently every year to spend time with there. She has done the Sama Yoga Teacher Training, Svastha Yoga Therapy course and studied a variety of other yoga styles. She has studied Craniosacral therapy as well as Biodynamic Stillness touch.

ANGELICA NANDA SCHÄFER & JOJO NORELL
With inspiration from many years of teaching and practicing Angelica created this concept where yoga and exploratory movement as well as stillness and being in the present now guides us into new places in ourselves and to great liberation. All in a safe frame where sharing and debriefing plays an important role. Both Angelica and Jojo have long experience of guiding yoga and meditation and besides being Hatha Yoga teachers and Osho sannyasins they are the two first certified teachers in Sweden teaching the method of Embodied Yoga Principles. They hold space for the annual Stockholm Yoga and Dance festival and Ängsbacka Yoga and Dance Easter festival and for retreats and workshops around the world. Jojo as a dj provides the musical vibe during the dance sessions and Angelica guides us in her genuine, safe and creative way. Angelica runs her own yoga studio in Sweden where she also shares her deep knowledge of ayurveda, massage and health therapy coaching.
