“I booked to the Wild Times yoga retreat as a treat for my sister’s birthday. I’m not a yogi, but I was by the end of the weekend. I loved every minute of it, the house, the location, the incredible Yin and Vinyasa yoga sessions and the SUP session was such fun, I even swam in the sea, it was freezing and I loved it. I left so relaxed and content. I need more weekends like this in my life”
“Most fantastic time. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It resets your mind and body and soothe the soul.”
“I loved the yoga itself, particularly the variety of yoga and learning new positions – it was so special doing it outside with the rain pattering on the leaves around us. The whole retreat was a magical experience; it felt as if we had gone into our own little world and friendships and a sense of community formed so quickly.”
DO
The Wild Times are extraordinary experiences and retreats across the UK, Morocco, Italy and Sweden, with a focus on proper rest, adventure, and nature connection. This is going to be a slow, wild retreat, with peace, quiet and space to reflect. As always on our retreats you’re invited to digitally detox, and give yourself the headspace you’ve come for. (This doesn’t mean you’ll be told off if you’re on your phone – it’s just an invitation).
Settle in before starting the retreat with a snack before meditation and our opening circle.
Day one (Thursday) is all about the Earth element – grounding and resting – so we will do yin yoga before dinner and yoga Nidra after in preparation for a good night’s sleep.
Friday will bring morning yoga and meditation then a delicious breakfast. Breakfast time here will be silent to allow for reflection, writing time and being fully immersed in the beautiful surroundings. There will be plenty of free time for long walks, swims or naps either side of lunch. There is a floating wood-fired sauna in the lake, and beautiful walks in the surrounding woods to enjoy. In the afternoon we’ll have an optional Herbs & healing workshop with the amazing plant scientist Rebecca Lazarou A.K.A Laz the Plant Scientist, followed by yin yoga then dinner.
On Saturday there will be morning meditation and a vinyasa yoga class, followed by breakfast and free time to walk in the woods.
Afternoons will be more yin, saunas and delicious food. On Saturday night we will have a bonfire outside (with the obligatory marshmallows). End the days with saunas and cool dips in the lake to leave lighter, revitalised and a little bit wilder.
Sunday morning will be yoga, breakfast and free time, before lunch and our closing circle. If you can, we recommend staying a night or two in Stockholm before or after the retreat – it’s a beautiful city and we have lots of recommendations.
The yoga classes are themed around the natural elements to help connect to nature by embodying the qualities of the elements throughout the practice.
All activities are optional but encouraged, so you can nap, read or swim and explore – it’s completely up to you. The Wild Times is always a guilt-free, judgement free zone!
STAY
Our beautiful venue is an intimate yoga community and retreat centre in the middle of the Swedish forest. (I have been looking for a wonderfully wild place to offer retreats in Sweden and I have found it! – Jen) 100% of all the energy they use comes from renewable sources, and the majority of their food is organic and locally, sustainably sourced.
It consists of seven buildings in nature, within which you can find two yoga shalas, ten twin bedrooms, four triple bedrooms, one four-bed dormitory, three separate huts, a floating sauna and a lake.
The project started in 2005, out of a vision to live in communion with nature and dedicated to a life of community and yoga. What once was an artist community of yogis simply living in nature, slowly, throughout the years, it opened its doors to those that wished to experience this way of living in the form of retreats. During the summer months.
The dense forests of Bergslagen around Skinnskatteberg, are a fantastic place to encounter the very best of Sweden’s wildlife. Other than enjoying its abundant nature, trees and plants, you can also find the magnificent ”king of the Swedish forest”, moose – otherwise known as elk – in its natural habitat, and the many lakes and watercourses are home to beavers too. The surrounding area has also proven to be one of the best regions in Sweden to see other wildlife such as wolves, bears, lynx and owls.
Rooms will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis across the venue. There are triple rooms (single + a bunk bed), twin rooms, solo rooms and luxury bell tents for one with heating and electricity available.
EAT
The food is delicious, abundant, and wholesome. It’s vegan, Ayurvedic-based, mainly organic and gluten-free and we will often eat out on the sunny deck overlooking the lake.
The kitchen is at the heart of everything here, using the best possible ingredients and taking care of food combinations to ensure that you are nourished and energised throughout the retreat. They are passionate about providing food that is delicious to eat, look at and feel.
All meals, snacks, hot drinks are provided. There will be fruit and a hot drink station for you to help yourself to throughout, with herbal teas, coffee, fresh mint, lemon and ginger. Please note this is an alcohol free retreat.
We can cater for dietary allergies if you let us know in your booking form beforehand.

TEACHER’S BIO
Jenny Clark
I believe in the healing, calming power of nature. I love being in, on or by the sea, reading lots of books, taking my morning coffee outside, campfires and planning retreats, adventures (and adventurous retreats). I am now based between London and the New Forest, where I grew up.
I completed my first training 200 hour vinyasa teacher training with Emily-Clare Hill and Michael James Wong at the Frame Academy in 2017 and have since studied Yin & Ayurveda with The Yoga People, Assisting Techniques with Sunday School Yoga and trauma-informed yoga with Ourmala. I am a qualified BSUPA paddle board instructor and Level 2 SUPTA paddle board yoga teacher.
On The Wild Times retreats I love sharing the practice of yoga and any tools, techniques or little things that I have figured out along the way that can help others feel more connected to their bodies, to others and the world.
I also teach corporate and 1:1 yoga classes in-person in London or online.
