Do you sometimes feel like the expectations of daily life are endless, and that in the process of keeping up you drift further from connection not only within yourself, but in your relationships?
Further from the simple moments, full to the brim with life.
Relational Sanctuary is the antidote. These 4 days will feel like a journey beyond space and time, leaving you deeply rested, reenergized, in connection, and present with the heart of life. But more so, you’ll return home with valuable skills to continue to nurture your relationships to self and others.
As a bonus, Shambala is graciously offering us a 15% discount on food and accommodation for this retreat. Use the code “sanctuary15” at checkout.
REST & SPRING NATURE
Even restorative practices can feel overwhelming – if there’s too much. Doing nothing allows for everything. Enjoy being; in the lake, the sauna, the beautiful forest. Regenerate by three abundant buffet meals a day.
CONNECTION TO SELF
An evolving connection with others is near impossible without welcoming connection within. This is where it starts. We’ll invite inner connection through self-centering movement and breath, inquiry and relational practices.
CONNECTION TO LOVED ONE. YOU WILL:
✴︎ Based on the practice of Authentic Relating explore common pitfalls in intimacy and relationships such as; withholding needs or desires, blaming, or making assumptions.
✴︎Learn transformational ways of communicating around these, and experience the power of chosen vulnerability.
✴︎ Be guided through sweet & restful practices where shared breath, contact and massage allows for deeper relaxation.
✴︎ Recharge with fun and playful practices – sharing belly laughs is key!
As this retreat explores intimacy without sexual practices, it’s also suitable for close friends who wish to develop these areas and support each other on the path.
The retreat will be held in Swedish if only Swedish speaking participants. Some classes may be held outside to enjoy beautiful spring weather.
“I recently attended a conscious massage and touch class with Deniz and left the evening in a state of deep bliss, relaxation and gratitude. Deniz holds a magic gift in her instruction that allowed for a deepening intimacy throughout the workshop with my partner and myself. I re-discovered levels of sensuality, innocence and safety in my body I had not felt for a while when giving and receiving touch.”
“Deniz is such an amazing soul. She creates safe spaces for sensitive topics. She is extremely professional and at the same time deeply understanding. I absolutely recommend her work.”
STAY
Our beautiful venue is an intimate yoga community and retreat centre in the middle of the Swedish forest. 100% of all the energy we use comes from renewable sources, and the majority of our food is organic and locally, sustainably sourced.
The project started in 2005, out of a vision to live in communion with nature and dedicated to a life of community and yoga. What once was an artist community of yogis simply living in nature, slowly, throughout the years, opened its doors to those that wished to experience this way of living in the form of retreats.
The dense forests of Bergslagen around Skinnskatteberg are a fantastic place to encounter the very best of Sweden’s wildlife. Other than enjoying its abundant nature, trees and plants, you can also find the magnificent ”king of the Swedish forest”, moose – otherwise known as elk – in its natural habitat, and the many lakes and watercourses are home to beavers too. The surrounding area has also proven to be one of the best regions in Sweden to see other wildlife such as wolves, bears, lynx and owls.
EAT
The food is delicious, abundant, and wholesome. It’s vegan, Ayurvedic-based, mainly organic and gluten-free and we will often eat out on the sunny deck overlooking the lake.
The kitchen is at the heart of everything here, using the best possible ingredients and taking care of food combinations to ensure that you are nourished and energised throughout the retreat. We are passionate about providing food that is delicious to eat, look at and feel.
“I’ve had the good fortune to experience Shambala many times as I shared Bhakti.
The moment I would arrive I felt the vibrant nature greeting me, supporting us in a sacred embrace to dive deep into our hearts.
Such a magical place.
And the staff in beautiful alignment with what the land offers.
A place for healing, reconnection, inspiration, Love.”
“I Love this place, I have returned here many times each summer for 10 years. They have a way of making everyone feel at home and welcomed. Here I can sink into a healthy, balanced and fun daily routine. And for me it’s important to have the balance between seeing all of the inspiring people here, but also having alone time and quietude, which I find in the forest, lake, sauna, tipi, in the silent mornings, in my room or in a yoga class. I feel recharged and happy when I’m here and I’m so glad these kind of retreat centres exist!”
“Amazing experience!! Beautiful nature around Shambala. Yoga there was outstanding!! Vegan Food incredible tasty!! Great and friendly community of people. If you suffer from stress, this is ideal place to be!”

TEACHER’S BIO
Deniz Liebert
Deniz holds sharing as a deep value of her heart, vulnerably bringing her own journey of self-discovery to empower others through her guidance as a yoga & dance teacher, physiotherapist, body awareness & relating facilitator.
She continuously partakes in deepening trainings all over the world, and infuses her work on inward and outward connection with qualities of authenticity, acceptance and lightheartedness.
Her spiritual practice revolves around relaxing back into peacefulness and cultivating mindful states, all while welcoming all parts and shades of our experience. With professional inquiries such as “How deeply can we allow ourselves to, truly, be?” and “How honestly can we allow ourselves to be received in our full being-ness?”.
Strongly rooted in both body and mind, Deniz enables deeper understanding of the impact of our nervous systems’ wiring while providing nuanced ways of direct exploration. Highly valuing individualization and integration into daily life. Her heart ignites to hold groups through soft expansion by loving and aware experience.
