THE PRACTICE
The Practices during this retreat are designed to (re-)connect you to your body temple. Some of the daily yoga practices will be strong and spicy, others gentle and soft and all of them creative and breath-centered. Through the vessel of our body you will open into deeper layers of yourself and work with tools such as journaling, vocal release, meditation, yoga nidra and breathwork to remember how intrinsically wild and free you really are.
THE RITUALS
During this retreat we will hold space for a variety of rituals, including a self care ritual, heart sharing circles, conscious touch, eye gazing and cacao ceremonies. Holding cacao ceremonies, for us, is a deeply immersive and spiritual experience that connects our hearts with the sacred plant medicine of cacao. We honor the ancient roots of this medicine, and with that the cultures of Central and South America, where cacao was considered a gift from the gods and used in ceremonies for its heart-opening and consciousness-expanding properties. Mamita Cacao offers us a soft way to listen to our heart, to connect with souls around us and to remember Mother Earth’s energy.
Our rituals and ceremonies are whole-body-soul-experiences in which you are free to be and choose what is best for you in the moment. You are seen, you are safe, you are loved.
THE INTENTION
We love to flow in the moment and offer guidance to hold a safe space in which we can re-explore our wild and free nature during our time in the most beautifully wild place in Sweden. Re-wild your soul is a call to return to your most authentic self, to shed the layers of social conditioning, to rediscover the free-spirited and connected being you are at your core. It is a reminder that we are not separate from nature but an integral part of it.
Our intention is to create a safe space where souls of all genders, sexual orientations, body types and ethnicities can come together to experience their true nature.
“Kathi and Sue created a safe space to go into deep and intense practices. I felt free and connected during and after the retreat”
“What really stood out was the attention to detail in the schedule, the yoga practices and the rituals. The atmosphere Kathi and Sue created was very appreciative and I am already looking forward to their next retreat!”
“Coming home to myself, feeling my body in connection with mother nature and connecting to wonderful humans touched my soul on the deepest level. I was able to experience what it feels like to be seen, loved and held in a safe space and I am deeply thankful for this experience up to this day”
THE PLACE
Shambala Gatherings is a beautiful retreat center and yoga community in the middle of the Swedish forest. Located just two hours away from Stockholm, the area is easily accessible and makes a great option for a short break wildlife destination.
The dense forests of Bergslagen around Skinnskatteberg, are a fantastic place to encounter the very best of Sweden’s wildlife. Other than enjoying its abundant flaura and lush beds of moss, the magnificent ”king of the Swedish forest”, moose – otherwise known as elk – can be seen here in its natural habitat, and the many lakes and watercourses are home to the beaver.
The area has also proven to be one of the best regions in Sweden to see other wildlife such as wolves, bears, lynx and owls.
“The energy is so so clear, deeply heart centred. And the intent with which Shambala is held is so beautiful, it has become a massively important part of my life”
The moment I would arrive I felt the vibrant nature greeting me, supporting us in a sacred embrace to dive deep into our hearts.
Such a magical place.
And the staff in beautiful alignment with what the land offers.
A place for healing, reconnection, inspiration, Love”

TEACHER’S BIO
Kathi Roth
Kathi stands for empowering our soft, strong, sensual soul.
She has been a meditation student since she was 15, fell in love with yoga when she was in the beginning of her twenties and has been teaching regularly since 2019. Her teaching style of vinyasa yoga and holding space for embodiment and breathwork practices is inspired by her experience in dancing and theater, traveling the world and learning from international teachers. She has been part of international and local (women) circles for years. Holding retreats for her is the most healing and nurturing opportunity to dive deep with oneself and other humans, to share stories, to own and use our voices, to get to know our own temple and soul better and to recharge our batteries.
Sue-Ana Kay
Sue loves to teach practices that allow you to be and embody your most authentic and wild self. She started practicing yoga when she was 13 and found a way to navigate through hardship in life within the body and the breath. Sue loves to teach creative vinyasa flows, soft yin yoga and share her love for human connection in cacao ceremonies, women- and sharing circles. Her studies include more than 800 hours of Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga, Thai Yoga Bodywork and Breath Magic. As she is particularly fascinated by nature and its healing effects on the body, mind and spirit, her teachings are greatly inspired by nature’s force, the elements and cycles.
