Closing up on the winter months animals goes into hibernation, while we keep on moving, maybe in the same pace. This retreat is an invitation to slow down, as we dive into the practice of yoga, meditation, and yoga nidra. The yoga sessions will be in gentle pace and variously challenging. If you’re used to practicing yoga, you might recognize influences of hatha, vinyasa, yin and restorative. During each day you also have plenty of free time to rest or spend the time walking in the forest, having a cold swim or relaxing in the sauna.
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
Each morning starts in stillness with meditation along with a dynamic yoga practice. The mornings are silent until after breakfast. On Saturday we invite in some playfulness with an embodied free dance experience, followed by grounding meditation and a sharing circle. You’ll be gently guided, while the movement and experience is uniquely yours.Â
Yoga sessions in the evening are soft and slow, as we move more towards yin, allowing you to wind down. At the end of some classes you’ll be guided in yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is a guided body scan, where you lie comfortably in stillness and allow the focus to wander between different body parts. It is also called yogic sleep, as you may enter into a state similar to sleeping, yet aware and awake, where the mind moves out of the way.

TEACHER’S BIO
Cornelia Savva
Cornelia delved deeper into her yoga practice around 11 years ago. Soon thereafter, she completed her teacher trainings of 500 hours in Rishikesh, India. Since then, she has been teaching in various ways and spaces. Classes that Cornelia offers includes hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, grounding yoga flow, yin yoga, dance meditation, free dance, and more. In a yoga class she likes to incorporate flows of asanas with meditation, pranayama, and mantras.
While she loves to hold space and teach, she has continuously embarked as a student on this spiritual journey. Some additional teachings she brings with her includes mindfulness, transformational leadership, and healing. Growing up dancing and having studied within the professional dance field extensively, Cornelia has a profound interest in movement, both as an art and as a form of healing. These teachings also inspire her classes, in practical alignment, as well as finding ways to listen to the self, the body and how movement can be both soft and strong, yet effortless if we allow it.
A belief she has is to combine movement and stillness ~ to ground, connect and to shift the energy inside. Her aim is to be a gentle guide, inviting you to explore in a safe space.
