Perhaps the teachings of yoga sometimes seem far away or even uncombineable with our modern lives?
But there is so much to be found in these old practices to support the modern human.
A modern life seems at times to be about a lot of doings and functions. Such as balancing life between to-do lists, zoom meetings, driving kids to activities and social media. In all our doings, we are also dealing with our inner world. Our experienced energy level at the moment, our relationships, our inner resistance or motivation and so on.
Our technology has been upward forward, but as human beings, we very much ponder upon the same things and hit road bumps mentioned in the old yogic texts way back. And there is a lot of clarity to be found in these texts as well as the actual practices.
PRICE:
Early bird price: 5500 (twin room) until the 1st of February,
Regular price: 5800 (twin room)

During these four days, we will get a break from our everyday life, enjoy the Swedish forest, the lake, and the beautiful food and community at Shambala.
Every day the practice will have its” take-off” from the perspective of a human trait or contradiction, which probably is present in our life. Such as Aversion/Attachment, Control/Surrender, meeting resistance, What is the I? and so on.
We will bounce discussions along with the yoga philosophy. The teachings won’t be linear, and the group might bring up what needs to be addressed. Moreover, we will investigate the daily topics with various techniques, such as dynamic and playful asanas, still meditation chanting and deep yin. There will also be time for writing. One evening we will also enjoy a large kirtan (mantra singing) with the whole community at Shambala. This is a real highlight!
My hope is you will leave with your body challenged and well-rested, your intellect infused, and your mind still.
Hopefully, the days’ practices have given you a clearer direction on creating and maintaining your own home practice. If not, Hanna can support you with that.
“Hanna is a really great yoga teacher. In her classes, she includes all the aspects of yoga; physical movement, breathing, meditation and philosophy. And she does it with warmth and a genuine presence. On her retreats, Hanna creates a very including atmosphere, you’ll feel welcome and “at home” regardless if you are a beginner or an experienced yogi. A retreat with Hanna is a real treat!”
