There is literally nowhere more perfect in Winter than Sweden. And no where more perfect in Sweden than the incredible Shambala Gatherings. Nestled in the middle of a giant pine forest with only the lake for company- this venue offers a unique opportunity to be in nature at a time of year that, let’s be honest – is totally rubbish in the UK!
We will practice yoga twice each day. Vinyasa flow in the morning and yin yoga in the evening. Mid way through our stay we will be treated to a sound bath from the extraordinarily talented Tom Pardhy.
Shambala Gatherings is surrounded by the beautiful forest of Bergslagen, home to deers, moose and the beaver. You can enjoy one of the well signed nature walks (of varying lengths) during your free time. This is super special during this time of year, when the forest turns into a winter wonderland.
There is a wood burning floating sauna on the lake at Shambala and we will have the opportunity to use it each day. you can follow your sauna with a dip in the lake. Cold exposure brings equilibrium to your body and aids in lowering inflammation so why not give it a go!?
The food at Shambala really is next level- all vegan and gluten free and absolutely bloody delicious! Your heart, soul and belly will be full to the brim by the end of our time together.

“I cannot recommend enough going on a retreat with Rachel. She put together the right mix of classes, teaching challenging and dynamic classes but she also created a space for restorative and yin focused sessions. Her teaching style is enabling me to be really present in the moment whilst providing me with individual options that allow me to deepen my physical and mental yoga practice. I’m already planning to sign up for the next retreat. It was overall a beautiful experience that I really enjoyed being part of.”
