“Shambala Gatherings is not a luxurious place.
The facilities are simple, but its walls are full of soul”
We welcome you wholeheartedly to our place.
Shambala consists of seven buildings in nature within which you can find two yoga salas, ten twin bedrooms, four tripple bedrooms, one 4-bed dormitory and three sepparate huts. Our total guest capacity is of 42 beds in the summer and 40 beds in the winter.
During the drier months of June and July we also offer three Soulpads as an accomdodation alternative for those that enjoy tenting in luxury. In addition to this we have a separate volunteer house that sleeps 7. There is also a large ammount of tent and caravaning space. Our large yoga sala (Shakti Hall) is 100sqm and comfortably hosts about 30 yoga matts and around 40 to 50 sitted spaces. Our small yoga sala (Buddha Hall) is 50sqm and hosts about 15 yoga matts and around 25 sitted spaces.
We have an electric sauna that sits abotut 10 people, and a floating wooden sauna that sits about 12, a fire pit, a tipi, a sweatlodge and a floating tank. You can also find a library and two treatment rooms.
100% of all the energy we use comes from renwable sources and in the summer a big part of our salads and herbs come from our own garden.
In the summers, Shambala turns into a full blown community project involving around 55 people at a time between guests and residents. We generally offer parallel retreats during the summer months. In the winter, Shambala takes a deep exhale and is offered as a peaceful retreat space managed by a small team of caterers with generally just one retreat at a time.
