This is a weekend to get offline and dive into a yoga practice that might not be what you are used to. We will explore movements that we recognize as “yoga”, but also take a look at a more functional way of moving. As we break down the movements and postures we will become aware of our habitual movement patterns, and get a deeper understanding of what we are actually doing when we move –and live. Every student will get the opportunity to modify so that the practice serves its purpose –to help us move better with more ease and less discomfort. As an addition from last year, we will explore what it a nonlinear movement practice is, where we move without considering technique or alignment but instead let the body leads us in the movements.
All levels are welcome -all that is needed is an open mind and the wish to learn about the possibilities within yoga and movement.

Olivia first fell in love with Yoga at the age of 16. Yoga Nidra helped her through sleep deprivation and headaches. Later on she got hooked on the meditative movements of Ashtanga Yoga. This has been her main practice until now. After recovering from her pregnancy two years ago, she is now interested on finding a sustainable way of practice, as a way to a pain free body. Reconsidering old dogmas through a more functional, strength focused practice, she loves to share new ideas to her students.
For Olivia, the yoga practice is a tool for self-inquiring, a space where you can play, explore and getting more connected to yourself and others. Her approach to yoga is non-dogmatic and takes place in what is right now. “Less is more” is what best describes her practice and teaching. Before moving to Västerås, she lived in Copenhagen for ten years where she taught and practiced yoga. Now she teaches at Utopia Yogastudios in Västerås where you can find her for 1:1 and open classes.
