Petra Kalla will offer her in depth knowledge of yoga in both dynamic and soothing therapeutic hatha yoga sessions. Liv Lu will share her radiant music and poetry with us and Julian Maryssael will guide us to ground through chi kung and connect with the earth and fire elements through a sacred sweatlodge ceremony.

Add to that a delicious buffet of food, heart opening chanting sessions with the Shambala Kirtan Band and our special guests this year: The Mayapuris! This year, these worldwide renowned devotional artist will delight us through music and dance !

Come and join our thriving community for our 2nd Midsummer Bhakti Fest at Shambala Gatherings!

“Through the ancient practice of kirtan (mantra meditation), we can enter deeper chambers of our heart, discovering our inner wealth, beauty, ecstasy and love”

Georgie Uris_Shambala_pics-6

One of the principle practices of Bhakti is kirtan, sacred sound vibration through mantras. Vibrating our voices, invoking the very essence of Divinity, we make contact with our source of life, entering a higher level of consciousness which expands our conception of reality.

Coming together in sacred circle, sharing an ancient practice in a safe and loving environment is a deeply transformational and powerful experience. We invite you to this journey of the heart – exploring your unlimited potential.

You will learn chants of purification and heart opening and with the accompaniment of beautiful instruments we will sing together to raise the frequency freeing ourselves from all anxiety, fear and stress created by daily life.

For more information on kirtan, pelase visit our page.

“After the Bhakti weekend it feels like life on this earth is a dance and each day a celebration!  Through sacred sound vibration, Kirtan, we connect to nature and journey into the depths of our heart. Now I feel so grateful and inspired to explore and follow my individual path. It was so supportive to meet other people and do this journey together. We had so much fun in the group and all have the common desire to find happiness, harmony, alignment with nature and our self. I warmly recommend this to anyone who is interested in understanding their true essence, all students of yoga who want to deepen their practice and explore their path, as well as yoga teachers who wish to add another dimension into their yoga classes.”
-Subhadra Bäppler, Sweden

Description of Yoga classes by Petra Kalla (Shakti Pass)

Friday am : INVITE THE DIVINE LIGHT
Bow to the the life giving sun, honor the flame within, invite the divine light! Let’s celebrate the lightest days of the year together! Moving with breath and mantra, releasing stagnant energy to find comfort in yourself, through all that you are, as you are.

Friday pm: SOW THE SEED OF CHANGE – SANKALPA & YOGA NIDRA with live music (Liv Lu)
Practice breath centered gentle asanas to relax and enliven the body without losing energy. Bring it all home with a long yogic sleep: Yoga nidra, where you sow the seed of intention in your unconscious mind.

Saturday am: SACRED SPINE:
Your spine is your central axis along which your movements, breath and vitality travels. Discover yogic practices that creates awareness of your inherent spinal patterns and how to find a sense of equilibrium, stability, mobility and ease.

Saturday pm: PRANAYAMA: UNVEILING THE INNER LIGHT
Learn how to relax and strengthen your nervous system and mind through traditional kriyas and pranayama practices. Clean the inner mirror so that you can see the light of your true nature rise within.

Sunday am: BEFRIEND YOUR INNER BEING with live music (Liv Lu)
A journey through your layers of existence via movement, stillness and sound. Vitalizing asanas combined with breathing practices that naturally lengthen your exhales and soften your inner physiology: heart rate, blood pressure and cortisol levels. Vibrate in and through using your voice and then rest in the stillness of your self, the inner witness.

Yogiakademin

Yogiakademin – a journey into the unknown which brings you home. A place where you deeply connect with your body and completely focus on yourself – not strict or silly but rather exciting and joyful.

During the past five years Josefine Bengtsson, Jens Holmer and Peter Sahlberg have traveled and explored the world. Their adventures and experiences, both worldly and spiritually, became the inspiration for what today is Yogiakademin.

Yogiakademin has several homes all around the world. Summer is spent in a magical castle in Bretagne and autumn in a charming villa in Biarritz, France. Our winter home consists of cozy beach bungalows in Khola Beach, India.

Imagine pausing your everyday life in order to gain perspective and focus on yourself. At Yogiakademin we welcome contemporary harmonies in order to create a long term balance between the body and the mind. Most of us have experienced the feeling of weightlessness or extreme euphoria – a feeling of complete joy that often disappears as quickly as it appears. At Yogiakademin we create conditions that help you discover your feelings from within and how to make them independent of external circumstances. You are organically filled with a rush, which is sustainable as long as you take care of your body and mind. It is not until your body is in physical balance that your mind can embark on a similar journey – making the two deeply connected.

The combination of yoga, meditation, delicious and healthy food, spectacular environments as well as friendly and welcoming people creates possibilities for the trip of a lifetime – both for your body and mind.
