The gift of meditation is beyond ordinary value. In this retreat we will be learning practices to open our hearts and step into a deep intimacy with ourselves.

Most of us spend our entire lives chasing happiness, peace and security. And we find ourselves in hidden anxiety, often subtly unfulfilled hoping to find what we are looking for.

Meditation, spiritual teachings from all traditions, show us that what we are looking for is not outside of us, but inside of us. Most of us have heard this before, and maybe even believe it, yet have not truly begun the internal search.

In this retreat we will learn practices and techniques to begin deeply looking within.

What we find when we begin exploring the depths of our being is indescribable stillness and a fullness of life. While these are just words to try to share an experience, it does not and cannot measure up to the experience itself.

Come, learn to meditate, continue to go deeper in your meditation practice.

This retreat is not focused on pushing us into a rigid discipline. The focus here is on meeting everyone where they are at. Silence is required, to assist all in going deeper in meditation and exploring new dimensions of our beings. Full attendance of all lectures, meditation sessions and yoga sessions is also required to ensure that we all get the most of our retreat experience and support each other in the journey. And yet, there is a soft attitude of easing into the retreat experience. Sitting comfortably in a position that will allow us to meditate.

Respecting our bodies in the yoga sessions and not trying to push ourselves into positions that we are simply not ready for. The attitude of the retreat is the attitude of balance and harmony, the middle way. We do our best to not fall into a laziness or lack of commitment and at the same time to let go of any tendencies to push or force ourselves in a way that is not psychologically healthy or physically healthy.

This retreat is a very special experience. We often take vacations or courses, explore and relax, and yet find ourselves in the same patterns of stress and being closed off. Here, it is not just an experience and a good memory, but the retreat stays with us. Helping us to open our hearts everyday, to come into a true authenticity, compassion, care and ease.

In this retreat, there will be daily lectures. Sharings of profound teachings from many spiritual traditions (predominantly from the Eastern Wisdom Traditions of Yoga and Buddhism). Not only will we learn meditative practices that can be applied right away. But we will also learn the profound philosophies that we all intuitively feel, and yet the inspiring teachings can help us to live in the warmth of these understandings.

Retreat participants:

  • Anyone wanting to begin a meditation practice, learn to open their hearts and rest in deeper peace.
  • Anyone who already has a practice and would like to go deeper in meditation and understand new depths of Surrender.
  • Anyone who would love to let go of anxieties and simply learn to be more present to their life.

Rosanna Österlund & Will Allen

Will’s intense passion for mediation and the insights it brings shows through in his lectures. After years of devoting himself single-mindedly to his meditation practice he began to teach and share with others. He is most interested in sharing these insights in a way that directly impacts the every-day lives of his students. His teachings are inspiring, clear and easy to understand.

Rosanna’s generous heart and care for others has naturally brought her to share her passion for health and movement through Yoga. She is an experienced yoga teacher with a love of Ayurveda and herbalism. Yoga classes with Rosanna are lighthearted and peaceful, fostering a sense of connection with ourselves and the class in general.
