ABOUT US

Shambala is an intimate yoga community and retreat centre in the middle of the Swedish forest. In coming to Shambala you will not only have access to the teachings of top international yoga teachers and teachers form other disciplines within spirituality and the path of self growth, you will also encounter the Shambala community who, with open arms, receives and serves the guests with a heart warming and homely family atmosphere.

The project started in 2005 out of a vision to live in communion with nature and dedicated to a life of art, community and yoga. What once was an artist community of yogis simply living in nature, slowly, throughout the years, it opened its doors more and more to those that wished to experience this way of living in the form of retreats.

We offer retreats all year around. The experience of Shamabala within the winter is of silence, stillness and introspection. During the summers, the community joins the centre and the feeling is of creativity, connection and joy. We welcome you wholeheartedly to our home.
